Subscription farming is a unique way for a small organic farm to stay viable and build community support. The way it works is members (subscribers) pay a set fee to the farmer in the beginning of the year in exchange for a weekly share of fresh vegetables throughout the growing season. On our farm the season starts in early June and runs through October and we are constantly experimenting with ways to extend the season. Each week during the season fresh vegtables are picked and
washed on the day the members come to the farm to pickup their food (that's as fresh as it gets). In addition to the farm pickups Lent's Organics also delivers to Wilkes-Barre, where members can pickup at the farmers market, and to Bloomsburg where the pickup point is Phillips Emporium. Each share costs $500.00 for the season. Delivery is an additional $100.00 a year. Half shares are also available. Click here to sign up!
