Organic farming focuses on feeding and making the soil healthy by adding organic matter tot he ground. Healthy plants grown in healthy soil are more resistant to pest and disease problems. There are no chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides or fungicides used in an organic system. Compost is added to the ground for nitrogen and to build soil structure, which helps plants grow better root systems. Crop rotation is
	used to break up disease and pest cycles and to take advantage of the nutrients left behind from last years cover crops. Organic farms use natural systems that are already in place to grow great food without chemicals.
